Salon owner David Blundell said, a lot of people do not even realize we are just around the corner, when they rush to park in the Plaza. We even have an entertaining motor car ‘cutting chair’ for toddlers, complete with musical horn, which can mean a visit to the hairdresser can be fun for the little ones too.

In the mid 1960s, when the Beetles were in their hay day, David, then 18-year-old, was earning money cutting and styling the hair of fellow students to pay his way through college in the UK. The Salon is the culmination of David’s life-long passion for hairdressing. Senior stylist Jose Antonio brings, European flair, and International Cuban and Spanish Experience, to the salon.

Growing up in the style and fashion centre of Madrid with two hairdressing parents, Jose is well known for his lively personality, an amazing collection of cowboy boots, and his penchant for singing as he works. His ornate, parents qualifications are also on display as a token of his love, esteem and respect for their inspiration. We provide a real Unisex Service, individual males, females, and the whole family and the end result represents not only good value for money but great comfort and convenience. We even arrange to open extra early or stay open late if this suits the needs of our customers. That also includes Styling for Wedding and Special Parties, Anniversaries etc. We are not just another cutting shop, as our Stylists are expert colourists. In fact, we have had our specialist complete lighting system installed to permit perfect colour balance and matching, with natural daylight quality lighting. David said, “With our cheerful ambiance we aim not only to provide skilled services but a full relaxation experience. We offer a very low cost Shampoo Service, for example, includes a head massage, and many clients doze off for a relaxing cat nap. Hairdresser’s Garden is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm and Saturday from 8.30am to noon.
